Pedal Fever 2011 Coaching Conference
Pedal Fever 2011 will take place on the 26th of November in the Helix (Dublin City University). This conference is aimed at coaches, managers, cyclists and indeed anyone else who might be interested in attending. This year the conference will be a combination of Key Note Speakers and Elected Breakout Workshops.
Of particular interest to mountainbikers will be a talk by Dr. Geraint Florida James (Edinburgh University) on “Demands of XC and Downhill Mountain Biking”. Geraint has been working with downhill mountain bikers for the last 7 years and has been contracted to Scottish Cycling for the last 2 years. Geraint works closely with the current Scottish Downhill Coach, Chris Ball, whom he previously coached, providing sports science support to the Elite Downhill Squad. He has also coached and advised xc racers up to World Cup level.
