Winter? No such thing at Cherry Orchard BMX!
The first round of the Cherry Orchard indoor BMX league kicked-off tonight with some blazing action raising the temperature of Dublin’s only indoor BMX track to record levels!
A full range of rider ages and abilities hammered through their 5 motos with Liam and Stephen doing a stellar job of keeping the motos on schedule and that start gate dropping like the clappers!
It may have been cold and miserable outside but riders were all smiles with clouds of steam rising off them like they were kettles on wheels!
Speaking of kettles, the very nice lady upstairs making the tea kept everyone on the boil in between races, the monster bars of chunky KitKat being the athletes nutrition-of-choice on the night!
Parents gathered trackside to see their kids hit serious warp factors around the berms and over the jumps, cheering and roaring to “pedal, pedal, PEDAL!”
A great turn-out and here’s hoping to even bigger numbers at the next 4 rounds!
