XC National Champs 2012 announcement
The 2012 XC National Champs will be hosted by Team WORC in Djouce woods, Wicklow on Sunday 22nd July.
Online registration is now open for proposed Chamionship categories only (list below), all support categories will register on-the-day.
You MUST register AND pay online for this event.
Online reg. will close at 6pm on Monday 16th July, absolutely no Championship category entries will be allowed after this date.
Presently, CI National Chamionship rules advise non-IRL UCI code riders are NOT allowed to enter the National Championships.
A special dispensation is currently being sought from Cycling Ireland to allow entry of non-IRL UCI code riders, a further announcement will be made only if this dispensation is allowed.
Regardless, non-IRL UCI code riders are NOT eligible for National Championships medals/titles.
Below are the proposed Championships categories:
- Elite
- Elite Women
- Master
- Master Women
- Veteran
- Veteran Women
- Junior
- Junior Women
- Under 16
- Under 16 Girls
- Under 14
- Under 14 Girls
- Under 12
- Under 12 Girls
If less than 6 starters (individual or teams) then whilst the event will still be a National Championship only the following awards will be made:
4 or 5 riders = 1st and 2nd place medals only.
3 or less riders = 1st place medal only
No jersey awarded in either of above.

- Senior: €25
- Junior: €15
- Youth: €5

Sunday 22nd >
- 10am sign on
- 11.00 race 1 under 8, 10, 12
- 12.00 race 2 senior 3, senior 4, senior 2 women, senior 3 women, under 16, 14
- 14.00 race 3 Elite male, Elite women, Junior, Master, Veteran
