Cherry Orchard BMX is proud to announce that we will be hosting two days of BMX Coaching
Clinics on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th April. These clinics will be run by Sam Foakes and Dylan
Clayton.
Coaching Team Profile:
Sam Foakes is the BMX Development Manager at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.
Dylan Clayton was a highly decorated rider and is a highly respected coach. For those that don’t
know he was
- Seven times National champion.
- Four times European champion.
- Three times World champion.
- Ranked in the Worlds Top 5 riders for eight years.
Now he is actively involved in writing and delivering the handbook for the British Cycling Level 2
BMX Coaching – The first discipline specific BMX coaching course in the world.
Clinic Schedule:
We have three separate clinics scheduled over the two days catering to all categories.
Clinic No: 1
Date:Friday 13th April
Time:12pm to 3pm (3 hours)
Age Group:Under 16’s only
Cost:€40
Details:
This session is aimed at youth racers, with numbers restricted to twenty people.
Riders will have two hours of track time, thirty minutes of class work with a 30
minute break during this session.
In addition to the coaching provided at this clinic, both Sam and Dylan will
attend the league racing on Friday night to observe the riders they have
coached during the day. Feedback will be provided on an individual basis to
the riders.

Time:11am to 12pm (1 hour)
Age Group:Open to all age groups

Gate Practice. This clinic will focus solely on Starting Gate Practice.

Date: Saturday 14th April
Time: 2pm to 5pm (3 hours)
Age Group:Over 16’s only
Cost:€50
Details:
This session is aimed at Adult and Experienced riders. You will have two hours of
track time, 30 minutes of class work with a 30 minutes break during this
session.
