Summit Mountainbiking Host National Marathon MTB Champs 2014
Rostrevor Mountain Bike Trails are set to host the Irish National XC MTB Marathon Championships on 14th September 2014.
Organisers Summit Mountain Biking and Cycling Ireland Off Road Commission have successfully attracted this prestigious event to Northern Ireland for the first time.
The race will be based at the popular Rostrevor Mountain Bike Trails and will consist of a mixture of purpose built trails, natural forest singletrack and open mountain trails and will cover two laps of a figure of 8 course over a distance of 75km with a total of 2100m of elevation.
There will be a main race for all the Championship categories plus Expert and Super Vet categories consisting of the full race distance, a shorter 27km Junior/fun race will also be run over the trail centre red trail.
