The 2023 Downhill Series kicks off at Carrick Mountain

Round 1 of the 2023 Irish Downhill Mountainbike Series (IDMS) took place at Carrick Mountain in Co. Dublin over the weekend of 27-28 May. Host club Gravity Bike Club have lots of experience in running top quality events and were blessed with dry sunny weather. The event attracted over 210 entries across the 11 categories. Saturday practice and seeding run was cut short due to some accidents which required ambulance transportation off site. Sunday morning attracted a large group of spectators and the day was incident free with great racing on display.

Round Two will take place at Shronaboy Farm, near Killarney in Co. Kerry, hosted by Tralee Bay MTB and Killarney Cycling Club on 5-6 August.
