2023 sees the second year of the National Cyclo-cross Series. This year there will be 6 rounds. Each round will be held on one day. It is expected that the course will be available for practice on the day before each race. The series will be overseen by the Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission (CIORC).

For the national series, all 6 rounds will count. Riders in categories Under 14, Under 16, Women, Senior men, M40, M50 and M60s will be part of the series.
Within the Women’s race the sub category of Masters Women will be identified on the results. This should then match the current medal categories for the national championships.
Host clubs can have an adult Support race as well as races for Under 6s, Under 8s, Under 10s and Under 12s. These won’t count towards the national series.
For the National Series events, the Support race is for those with mountain bikes or gravel bikes with tires greater than 33 mm wide.

Race Fees
Standard fees for the series will be
Adults – €20 / £17
Juniors – €15 / £13
Under 14/Under 16 – €10 / £8.50
Under 12/Under 10/Under 8 – €5 / £4
Under 6s – €1 / £1
On top of this will be the Eventmaster fee.
Overall Series Points
The overall series would have trophies which would be presented at the final round. All rounds count towards the league. The points awarded are shown below.

Top 3 riders in each of the following categories will receive a National CX Series award.

Gridding
Gridding for Rounds 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be based on UCI points and then points from the overall series. Round 1 would only be based on UCI points.

The national series will count towards the gridding for the national cyclo-cross championships, along with the results from the provincial cyclo-cross championships.
